Walking Holidays for Singles

Solo Walking Holidays

Solo Walking Holidays

Travelling solo doesn't mean exploring alone. At Ramble Worldwide, we've been welcoming solo travellers on our guided walking holidays since 1946, and today, around half of our group members are travelling independently. You'll find yourself among like-minded adventurers who share your passion for walking and the great outdoors.

Our small group walking holidays are designed to be sociable and relaxed. With an average of 14 people per group, you'll have plenty of opportunity to make new friends over shared trails and convivial mealtimes. Many of our solo travellers return year after year with companions they've met on previous holidays.

Room Options for Solo Travellers

Room sharing

If you'd like to keep costs down and enjoy some company, call our friendly sales team about our twin share option. We'll do our best to match you with another same-sex traveller so you can enjoy the holiday without paying a single room supplement.

Sole use rooms

Prefer your own space? You can book a sole use room on most of our holidays. These may be single rooms or double rooms for sole occupancy. The hotels we use typically charge a single room supplement, but we always keep this as low as possible.

Holidays With No Single Supplement

We offer a selection of holidays without a single room supplement, though these rooms are limited. Book early to secure your spot. If room sharing is unable to be arranged by the balance due date, you'll have the option to accept a single occupancy room at the full price or cancel for a full refund.

Last minute solo walking holidays

If you're looking to get away in the next few weeks on a last-minute solo walking holiday in the UK or abroad then look no further, our new search tool makes it easier than ever to see which holidays have single-room availability!

If the holiday you're interested in doesn't have a single room available then contact our team to enquire about a "Twin Share" option; this means that we'll assign you a room with another solo traveller of the same sex, so you can join the holiday without missing out because we've sold out of single rooms.

Friendly small groups

Exploring the world in a small group is one of the most sociable holiday experiences there is. Couples, groups of friends and single travellers all love our holidays and see them as a chance to make friends, de-stress, and relax, among interesting people and in beautiful locations, always under the guidance of our experienced and qualified leaders.

Our walkers come from a wide range of backgrounds and ages, but all share a passion for exploring new places, walking and the outdoors. Usually, about half of those in the group are solo travellers.

With groups averaging around 14 people, you'll enjoy the benefits of:

• Off-the-beaten-track experiences that larger groups can't access

• Relaxed, convivial mealtimes to reflect on the day's adventures

• Expert guidance from leaders who know the terrain intimately

• Flexible walking options with different grades to suit your ability

• Genuine connections with fellow walkers who become friends
