Cambodia's most iconic sight is Angkor Wat, and nothing quite prepares you for seeing it in person. One of the largest religious monuments in the world, its five distinctive towers and extraordinary Khmer architecture are so synonymous with Cambodia that they appear on the national flag. We'll take you there with an expert leader who knows the site intimately, sharing the history and significance of what you're looking at in a way that a solo visit simply can't replicate. Walking the temple complex at dawn, before the crowds arrive, is the kind of experience that stays with you for the rest of your life.
Beyond Angkor, we'll take you to Siem Reap, Cambodia's most visited city, and to the remarkable Tonle Sap, a vast lake connected to the Mekong River that swells dramatically with the seasonal floods to become one of the largest freshwater lakes in Asia. The floating communities that have made their home here, stilted houses, floating schools, fishing boats moving through glassy water, are unlike anything most travellers have seen before, and our small groups give you the time and space to take it all in properly.
