  • Chilean Lake District & Volcanoes

This carefully curated 17-day journey through Argentina and Chile offers an exceptional exploration of South America’s most iconic destinations, combining vibrant urban culture, world-renowned wine regions, and awe-inspiring natural landscapes.

The adventure begins in Buenos Aires, often called the “Paris of South America,” where elegant architecture, historic neighbourhoods, and passionate tango culture set the tone. A guided city tour introduces landmarks such as Plaza de Mayo, La Boca, and Recoleta Cemetery, followed by an authentic tango dinner show.

Travellers then fly to Mendoza, Argentina’s premier wine region, nestled at the base of the Andes. Here, vineyard tours in Luján de Cuyo or Maipú offer insight into world-class wine production, complemented by tastings and gourmet lunches. A special Chardonnay-focused experience provides deeper appreciation of Argentina’s unique varietals.

Crossing into Chile, the journey continues in Santiago, a dynamic capital framed by mountains. Guests explore its historic centre and visit the renowned Santa Rita vineyard in the Maipo Valley. The itinerary then moves south to Puerto Varas in Chile’s Lake District, a region of volcanoes, lakes, and European-influenced culture.

One of the tour’s most memorable highlights follows: a full-day lake crossing through the Andes into Argentina. Travelling by boat and land, guests traverse spectacular landscapes of mountains, forests, and crystal-clear lakes before arriving in Bariloche, a charming alpine-style town famous for chocolate and outdoor activities.

In Bariloche, scenic excursions include panoramic viewpoints and a cruise to Victoria Island and the Arrayanes Forest. The journey then heads further south to El Calafate in Patagonia, gateway to Los Glaciares National Park. Here, travellers experience the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier, witnessing dramatic ice calving, and enjoy a full-day navigation among towering glaciers.

This itinerary perfectly balances guided excursions and leisure, offering a comprehensive yet relaxed way to experience the best of Argentina and Chile, from cosmopolitan cities to remote natural wonders.
